in Motivation and Ambition

Loss of motivation destroys that driving force that keeps you going when everything else is against you. It seems that when life is getting the best of us, the first thing to go is our motivation, yet this is when we need it the most.

When you lose all the personal drive to keep moving forward in life, you become vulnerable to all sorts of self-defeating psychological problems.

The loss of motivation will keep you from advancing in life, and it drains you of your will to succeed at any endeavor.

You lose all enthusiasm for the most essential things in your life; it may be an exercise program or a project that once meant something to you.

Our whole goal in life is to live happy, successful, productive lives. But when you experience a loss of motivation, the dreams that once meant so much to you are no more than a distant memory.

Avoiding The Loss of Motivation

Loss of motivationThere are things that you can do to help keep yourself motivated to keep moving forward in life, and it usually starts with your attitude and your innermost thoughts.

To overcome the loss of motivation, you must make sure life decisions coincide with your values.

Nobody chooses a life of failure. We all want to be our best, so we need specific life goals.

If you realize that you are not advancing towards achieving your goals, you must take immediate action to help jump-start your motivation once again.

The most successful people are always very goal-oriented. They have a specific target they wish to reach, and their desire to reach that target is what fuels their motivation.

If you are experiencing a loss of motivation, surround yourself with successful people.

Successful people are supportive and encouraging; they know what it takes to be successful; they understand the role that motivation plays in becoming the best you can be.

Remember that most of them have likely experienced the exact problems you may be going through at this very moment.

The Loss of Motivation And Its Effect On The Degree of Success One Achieves

The Only Difference Between A Man Who Succeeded And A Man Who Failed Is That One Of Them Stopped Trying.

Everyone’s enthusiasm and motivation are tested occasionally, but it is the most successful that prepares themselves for these moments.

By surrounding yourself with successful people, you can learn how to combat the loss of motivation before it can sink its goal-crushing claws into your subconscious mind.

Surrounding yourself with successful people allows you to learn yourself. Is this a positive action, and will it move me toward achieving my goals?

Remember, the key to all success must begin with action. You will never finish the race standing still.

Loss of MotivationMotivation and enthusiasm are what keeps your dreams alive.

Successful people have learned what it takes to remain motivated enough to continue towards the successful completion of the goals that they have set for themselves.

Success is different for everyone, so you must understand your definition. For some, success may mean making a lot of money. For others, it could be creating an excellent resume to pursue a new job or career change. Whatever your definition of success is, decide what it is and motivate yourself to go after it.

In my search for success, I made it a point to have people around me who I knew would support me and help me when needed. I knew these people would be there for me even when I didn’t realize I needed them.

If it weren’t for the people in my life that I could turn to at those trying times, I’m confident I would have never achieved the success I have in my life. They helped me find my motivation when I could not find it alone.

Having the support and knowledge of successful people is genuinely invaluable. You can learn from them and see how they got their motivation working for them.

The loss of motivation can strike any moment; that is why you must have a way to fend off those life-draining feelings of dread.

I have put together some of my favorite motivational quotes; if you read through them, you may find that they may help you when you need that extra push.

Learning How To Overcome The Loss of Motivation

Personal development is the never-ending pursuit of success and happiness. However, the loss of motivation keeps you from thriving to achieve your personal development goals and robs you of your most valuable asset, which is time!

We all have the same amount of time, and every moment counts because it is gone for good once it’s gone. When you’re enthusiastic about what you are doing or would like to be doing, you’ll find the motivation to use your time to the best of your ability.

I was fortunate when I was dealing with serious medical issues and struggling with a complete loss of motivation. I had a loving family and a wonderful wife who gave me the emotional support I needed to keep pushing forward.

My wife knew I had dreams and aspirations for my life and never allowed me to lose sight of those dreams. No one achieves success without the help of others along the way, and when I struggled, I knew I could turn to my wife for strength and encouragement.

My wife is a strong, professional, compassionate, successful woman, and that’s another example of how important it is to surround yourself with successful people of good character.

In difficult times, we need others to help us focus on the positive, not the negative; we need their encouragement to see past the difficulties and help motivate us to keep pushing forward.

So, if you happened to read my story, you are aware of some of the hurdles I’ve faced. Sometimes, I could not see past the challenges or feelings of hopelessness, but I always got past them because I listened and learned from those who cared about me.

I knew how important it was to have a variety of people in your life, people I could turn to in times of need. I knew how important it was to watch, listen, and learn from others in good and bad times. We all need others to succeed.

People have always fascinated me, especially those who have achieved tremendous success. It was this fascination with others that motivated me to begin to learn and study every aspect of personal development.

I wanted to learn all I could about living a life filled with happiness and outstanding achievements, one that rallied with terrific relationships, flourished with love and compassion and could overcome adversity. I wanted to learn all I could about living a life of success.

I was always curious as to why there were so many successful people in the world and so many unsuccessful. I had a burning desire to learn to do the things that I could do or anyone else could do that would guarantee success.

I wanted to know why some people would experience such a loss of motivation that it destroyed their lives, yet others could face the same problems but they could overcome such obstacles.

After years of study, I took what I believed were the most critical factors for developing unstoppable motivation and created my A to Z list of motivational tips. It’s a simple, straightforward list that shows why motivation is so important and how it affects every aspect of your life. I think you will find it beneficial and enlightening to read through.

I believe personal development is a never-ending process. It’s developing the personal power to overcome adversity and continually and consistently strive towards achieving your goals. It’s living successfully by your design.

There are many factors involved in achieving success, although one major flaw can destroy everything and keep you from achieving a single goal, and that is a loss of motivation. Remember, any amount of success requires some action, and without action, failure is guaranteed.

So, never lose your drive to push past the tough times in life; difficulties and challenges are inevitable, and we will all have to deal with them at some point. Always remember the strength of motivation and its role in keeping you on your path to success.

There is no greater anchor than the loss of motivation to keep you from achieving your greatest dreams and desires in life.

I am going through some changes. I am in the real estate business in Ohio. The last few years I have lost most of my money and decided to close my business. My friends have moved and businesses I visited have closed. The rest of my holdings I no longer want. My plan is to move, file bankruptcy and begin again some place else. I have lost my ambition and drive. Would you have any suggestions for me?

Hello Jo,

First I apologize for taking so long to respond to your comment. I sent an email out to all my subscribers the other day to let them all know that I was hospitalized back in October and I was just released a few days ago so I have a lot of catching up to do. I missed out on spending Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years and V-Day with my wife and 4 year old daughter because I was in the hospital but I refused to allow my circumstances to dictate my attitude.

Naturally I was sad at times and lonely but I knew if I allowed negativity to control my attitude I might not have made it out of the hospital so I fought to remain positive everyday I was in there and I am here to respond to your comment because of my positive attitude. We all have more control over the outcomes in our lives then most want to believe but with a positive attitude anything and everything is possible.

Thank you for visiting and for leaving such a beautiful comment.

God Bless You!
Sincerely,
Howard

First of all, I’d like to tell you that you are an awesome individual and an inspiration to me for sure. I’ve just awaken from a terrible nightmare of being stuck in the pit of negativity for at least a decade. After a recent fit of rage I decided it was time to reach out for help to try to change pretty much every aspect of my life. I know I have a long road ahead, but your story has inspired me to begin my own journey and I thank you. I LOVE your website and I visit it quite often and will continue to throughout my journey. May God bless you and your family.

Hi Mark,
Try setting some goals that really excite you, make it something that you really want and would enjoy because we tend to become more motivated when we are working to achieve something we really desire. Start off with some goals that are not too difficult because as you achieve the smaller goals it will give you the motivation you will need to keep working towards the achievement of some larger goals. Think of the snowball effect!

I Wish You The Best!
Sincerely,
Howard
