Showing Gratitude Shows Character.

Gratitude says so much about your true character. We all have so much to be grateful for in this life, but sometimes it takes someone else to open your eyes to it all.

If you find it hard to show true gratitude you are going to find it hard to really grow as a person.

Once you decide that you are going to be grateful for many things in your life the overall change in your personality will be hard to miss.

When you express appreciation for even the smallest things in life you will automatically begin to feel better about yourself.

The more thankful you are the happier you feel. You stay more focused on the positive aspects of life.Gratitude

I promise you as your appreciation for things in your life grows your whole attitude towards everything will improve.

In true personal development you must really give thanks for all that you have in life. I have made it an absolute habit to show gratitude for everything in my life no matter how small it may be.

I remain so much more positive and my attitude is always good and people enjoy being around me because I am truly happier.

Now I have had people say to me that they could not be as grateful as I am with all the bad things that have happened to me.

I find this as a great opportunity to really explain to them why I am truly grateful.

Now I don’t want to sound preachy but I always point out all the things that God does give me on a daily basis to truly be grateful for.

I don’t focus on all the hard times I have had. If I did I would literally be throwing my life away.

By showing gratitude you are sharing a wonderful side of your personality with the people around you.

Some Simple Everyday Things You Could Show Gratitude For!

Just think how it makes you feel inside when you are expressing true appreciation.

It gives you a very positive feeling inside and this helps your overall well being.

I make a habit of setting aside a few minutes throughout the day to just sit and think of all that I am grateful for. This is not just limited to things or possessions it also includes events and people in my life.

I ALWAYS end up feeling very happy after these sessions. I attribute these feelings of happiness to the fact that the very act of showing gratitude reminds me of all the positive things in my life.

I am forced to think of the good in my life which we are all capable of overlooking.

Sometimes you have to separate your mind and it thoughts from some of the less fortunate things in your life and this is easily done when you are focused on things you are truly thankful for.

You really can be thankful for so much in your life, if you get stuck and can’t get your mind off the negative just take that negative and turn it around.

Say you are upset over work and you are tense and anxious feeling.

To get out of this just turn the situation around and tell yourself that you are thankful just for having the work in the first place, things would be much worse if you were unemployed.

This will change your whole state of mind, you go from being upset and anxious to actually having a feeling of gratitude.

An Attitude of Gratitude Will Brighten Your Every Moment!

When you take the time to be thankful it allows you to look at the bigger picture in life. You must learn to be thankful for things such as the health of your children or other relatives.

When you do this the small things that do go wrong begin to seem a whole lot smaller.

I told you that I do a lot of journeying well one practice I have every night is to write down three things that I am grateful for on that day.

This is a wonderful list to have just to look back on at times and read through.

Always be adding to your list, this will give you positive things to focus on.

You really do have a lot to be grateful for and by expressing this gratitude you truly are improving your own personal development.

Thank you for visiting Nitisha, I am so sorry it has taken me so long to reply, I have been in the hospital a lot and it has been really hard to work online as my vision goes bad but I am grateful that I have the opportunity to come back and reply to all my readers and to show my gratitude I will be uploading a new free resource soon as I am just putting the finishing touches on some work I did while in my hospital bed :)
